Taking a couple of weeks off from work, Tara begins planning the funeral and going through her grandmother's things. A discovery in the attic changes the course of her life in an unprecedented and unpredictable way. Her grandmother left specific instructions to leave an ancient lamp alone, but Tara didn't heed her warning. Now she is faced with a hostile genie with an unkind sense of humor.
