Somebody is sending Emlyn Goode a message.

The morning of her wedding day a green 4-by-4 nearly smashes into her car. The driver of a limousine no one hired to take her to the wedding warns she’d be easy to kidnap. On her honeymoon in Florida Roger finds a body in the swimming pool. While she and Roger have drinks with Rebecca Nurse and Harry Woodward at a riverside Naples restaurant somebody shoves her into the river. She’s certain that all of this is connected to a cold case Roger and Harry had worked on. Is she being warned to stay away from that case?

A year earlier Emlyn had seen or heard something that would solve the case. When she tries to recall what it is, the warnings become attempts on her life

Welcome Keyanna Butler to our blog to today.

Kenya and her family are struggling right now and she wanted to share her story with everyone. Go ahead and tell your story Keyanna.

Keyanna Butler: Thank you for having me today.

Lizzy Stevens: You are very welcome. When you are ready, go ahead and introduce yourself and tell your story.

Keyanna Butler: Hi, I’m Keyanna and I’m trying to raise money to help my family keep up with bills and groceries until I find a new, steady job. Right now I freelance, but I am not bringing in enough to give us any relief. My husband works full time, but we are having trouble keeping up with everything on just his income.

Back in December, I was forced to leave my job because my employer stopped paying me. I have not received the back pay I’m owed, and it took a toll on my family financially. In addition, our food assistance was cut off because my husband grosses too much money according to their guidelines.

I am job hunting and am determined to find something steady by September. Until then my family could really use the help.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Ten billion ancient Endol flee their dying sun in sixty-four fleets of gigantic starships. For 5.6 trillion years they scatter outward, spreading intelligent life to thousands of Universes. As the population flees they are enslaved by a reasoning glyph known as Marid. Marid heads a fanatical technological religion called The Covenant. Over trillions of years he becomes the all-powerful God of all known Universes. He has indentured his people, and war between Eve and Marid becomes inevitable. Eve’s husband is tortured to death during battles with Marid, and ten billion Endol remain imprisoned on outbound ships. Eve vows to defeat Marid wherever he exists or die trying. Permeated by love, deceit, and subterfuge, this novel presents new views of space and imaginative technology. It is a delight for Sci-Fi readers of all ages.

Mr. Johnson is very special to the residents of the St James Apartment building. Not only does he have the skills to keep the 1920’s building in good repair, but he is also the only man who resides there. He has dated many of the single women who call the building home. Now he is the prime suspect after the police determine that the husband of one of those ladies has been murdered.
This cozy mystery is a little wine, a little murder and a whole lot of friendship as the Ladies of the St. James Apartments set out to save one of their own. Can Mable Schmidel and her 70-, 80- and 90-year-old friends show the police how old ladies find a killer? Who else can they trust to do the job?

Robert is a young American pilot flying charter jets in Asia for Philippine Airlines; a lucrative and often exciting job. Then he meets beautiful Vivien, and falls in love with the sweet Filipina. This didn’t sit well with wealthy Miguel, her admirer who thinks he can buy anything and anyone, including Vivien. Failing at tempting her away from Robert, he resorts to hiring a gang to kidnap Vivien for a $15-million-dollar ransom. Knowing that Robert doesn’t have that kind of money, Miguel is certain Robert would be forced to come begging him for help with paying the ransom. He’d help, of course, with some strings attached. Could there be a more ingenious way to win the rivalry? Maybe…or maybe not – when that rival is Robert.

Welcome author Glenn Berggoetz to our blog today!

Summer is here and we are all enjoying it. Do you and your family have any fun summer traditions?

Glenn Berggoetz:   A favorite summer tradition I have is playing wiffle ball with my nieces and nephews.  When we get together for summer visits, we play a wiffle ball game just about every day, with it being the boys against the girls.  We have a blast running around the yard as the dogs run around as well - sometimes the dogs become part of the game!  We play fun songs like "Barbie Girl" and "Call Me Maybe" and "Friday" while we play, occasionally stopping to dance when a favorite part of a song plays.

In rural Indiana in the 1950s, an elderly African American man befriends a young white boy whose father is openly racist and who is determined to put the friendship to an end, even if that means exhibiting violence toward his son and the elderly man.

It's summer time! Do you have any fun stories to share about summer?

Kevin:  My wife worked as Director of Nurses at a state residential facility for severely disabled adults for many years. Every summer they would host a large fair with rides, food and exhibits in a large field abutting the grounds.  I would work one of the booths.  This was the inspiration for the Summer Harvest Fayre in my first book, Blue Moon which took place on the grounds of an abandoned state facility.

A Blue Moon is a rare occurrence, a time when strange things happen, when the vast universe might reveal its darkest mysteries, or at least that’s what Jack Graves has always heard. Jack is a teacher in the quaint New England town of Wickham, a place where nothing changes and life moves lazily along. But Jack’s serene world is about to be torn apart. A teacher with summer’s off and time on his hands, Jack should be at his leisure, tending to his house and yard, and helping his wife, Joanna, a librarian, sell her wares at the annual Summer Harvest Fayre. But things on Jack’s quiet dead end street are not what they appear. Someone is stalking the couple, creeping about their yard after dark and leaving grisly ‘deposits’. But Jack, not wanting to alarm his wife, enlists the aid of his eccentric friend, chemist ‘Gospel’ Tom Williams, a man whose investigatory skills are as good as ‘Gospel’, who sets about analyzing the evidence. But when Jack’s neighbor is brutally murdered and ‘Gospel’ Tom’s findings suggest that something amazing has been happening on Jack’s once peaceful street, the Graves’ household and the entire town of Wickham are plunged into a dark realm where myth and reality merge and even those closest to Jack may not be who or what they seem to be.
